Toddler Trek: Storybook Trail Walk at Maury County Park

The plan is to have most kids walking, but strollers are absolutely welcome since the trail is ADA accessible. Just keep in mind that some strollers may handle the terrain better than others.

While this trek is geared toward toddlers, all ages are welcome. That said, toddler energy tends to bring a bit of joyful chaos. Families are encouraged to move at their own pace. If your child wants to run ahead or hang back and take their time, that’s completely fine. We’ll all meet up naturally along the way.

The walk itself will likely last around 30 minutes. Afterward, anyone who’s interested is welcome to head over to the playground together to keep the fun going.

At the end of the Storybook Trail, families can choose to continue walking or relax at the seating area for a snack and some downtime.

I’ll have my own toddler with me, so we’ll see how things go, but the goal is to make it through the full story together.

How to find the trail:
When you enter the park, continue past Kids Kingdom and the new Miracle League field. Instead of turning right toward Jared’s Dream Playground at the train depot, go left and head up the hill. The Storybook Trail will be on your right-hand side.

Parking note:
Parking at the trailhead is limited (about 3–4 spots), so you may need to park down the hill and walk up.
