Join us for a discussion of the experiences of African Americans at the Polk Home and other Polk properties, and to see the new, temporary exhibition “Breaking the Chains of Forgetfulness”. In this exhibition, local artists Bernice Davidson, Jemma Perran, and Michael McBride pay tribute to the unsung heroes of Middle Tennessee’s history including African Americans and Native Americans.”
